About Alpine Eagle

At Alpine Eagle, we are a team of machine learning practitioners and robotics engineers, building the first airborne, swarm-based system to provide protection against the rising drone threat. We believe that recent conflicts have shown the malicious and disruptive potential of drones in both civilian and defense scenarios. In addition, we are convinced that the next step in counter-drone is air-to-air. We want to ensure that all governments and institutions that believe in personal freedom and the rule of law have cutting edge solutions to protect against this rising threat.

We offer a work environment that is inclusive and open, with a flat hierarchy, and a purpose-driven team. We want to reinforce a culture where great ideas can flourish, and great people collaborate.

How you will make an impact

You will work as part of an experienced and rapidly growing team of software and robotic engineers developing networking and multi-agent control software for a highly innovative unmanned aerial system (UAS) solution. You will be able to see immediate results of your work by participating in flight tests and will get to lay the foundations of a new generation of multi-agent aerial systems. More specifically, you will:
• Design and develop a resilient communication strategy between agents of a distributed system.
• Apply your knowledge of state-of-the-art encryption and counter electronic warfare measures and enable operations of our C-UAS solution in combated areas.
• Own our communication layer in SW and integrate with our HW team.
• Contribute to the system architecture and product roadmap with your team.
• Mentor junior team members and interns.

Requirements

• M.Sc. or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Communication Technology, Computer Science or several years of experience in related fields.
• A solid understanding of different communication/network protocols and strategies including embedded, IP network and (ROS) data distribution services.
• Solid understanding of the principles behind electronic warfare methods and counter measures.
• A record of successful design and implementation of communication systems for military or government applications.
• Experience with system architectures of resilient communication systems.
• A hands-on attitude and strong sense of ownership.
• You approach complex problems systematically and document your results.
• You are a team player. You win when the team wins.
